Your support of ASOR helps us make a real difference in the world! ASOR preserves and protects cultural heritage through advocacy (see especially our Syrian Heritage Initiative) and through support of excavations. Our journals, books, e-newsletters, blog, and presentations at the Annual Meeting disseminate these excavations’ findings to the public. All of this work changes lives, and none of it would be possible without the partnership of our members and friends.

Check out these blog posts from a few 2014 ASOR Fellowship Recipients.

Through excavation scholarships and grants. We invite you to FIND ONE or to help FUND ONE. The deadline for applying for an excavation scholarship is February 17th, so time is of the essence. The application is brief, so please submit yours today. If you know of someone else who might be interested, please share this post and let them know.

We also need help with funding these scholarships. We are pleased that ASOR established four new endowed scholarships in the past three years, but we also need annual support from our friends and members to send budding young archaeologists into the field. Last year, we awarded 59 scholarships and grants, and our goal is to award 60 this year. 100% of the money donated as a result of this post will go directly towards scholarships without any overhead. Please support archaeology’s next generation by making a donation today.

If you have any questions about Finding One or Funding One, please e-mail us or call us (617-353-6570).
